Clinical Application:
Test quantitatively determines Wilm’s Tumor (WT1) transcript levels, for monitoring of MDS and AML.
Diagnosis and monitoring.
Methodology:
Upper remission limit 0.01. WT-1 expression levels in patients in permanent remission may remain detectable by RT-PCR.
WT-1 expression transcripts in patients in permanent remission may remain detectable by RT-PCR.
Specimen Requirements:
RNA-based assays
Peripheral Blood: Minimum 2 mL in EDTA (purple top) preferred or 2 mL in sodium heparin (green top)
Bone Marrow: Minimum 2 mL in EDTA (purple top) preferred or 2 mL in sodium heparin (green top)
