Test Name:

KMT2A::MLLT3 (MLL::AF9) t(9;11)

CPT Code:

81401

Turn Around Time:

24 – 72 hours

Clinical Application:

Detection and quantitative monitoring of the KMT2A::MLLT3 fusion transcripts, the molecular result of the t(9;11) translocation.

Diagnosis and monitoring.

Methodology:

Real-Time Quantitative PCR, minimum sensitivity: 0.01%

Multiplex PCR, detects three different variants: KMT2A exon 10 – MLLT3 exon 6; KMT2A exon 8 – MLLT3 exon 9, and KMT2A exon 8 – MLLT3 exon 10

Specimen Requirements:

RNA-based assays

Peripheral Blood: Minimum 2 mL in EDTA (purple top) preferred or 2 mL in sodium heparin (green top)

Bone Marrow: Minimum 2 mL in EDTA (purple top) preferred or 2 mL in sodium heparin (green top)

Storage and Transportation:

Please store and ship specimens at ambient temperatures.
