Clinical Application:
Detection and quantitative monitoring of inv(16) / t(16;16) inversion/translocation resulting in the CBFB::MYH11 fusion transcripts. Diagnosis and monitoring.
Methodology:
Real-Time Quantitative PCR. Minimum sensitivity: 0.001 % (type A, E) 0.01% (type D)
Detects CBFB::MYH11 fusion transcripts type A (CBFB exon5 – MYH 11 exon12) , type D (CBFB exon 5 – MYH 11 exon8), and type E (CBFB exon 5 – MYH 11 exon7).
Specimen Requirements:
RNA-based assays
Peripheral Blood: Minimum 2 mL in EDTA (purple top) preferred or 2 mL in sodium heparin (green top)
Bone Marrow: Minimum 2 mL in EDTA (purple top) preferred or 2 mL in sodium heparin (green top)
